KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday, asked the federal government to unveil the steps taken to control extremism from the country, a private news channel reported.
Talking to media persons in Karachi, the PPP chairman said that National Action Plan should keep all parties and provinces involved.
“The government must open up about the measures being taken to end terrorism,” Bilawal said.
The PPP chairman said that he himself has been a victim of terrorism and lost his mother in a terrorist attack.
Bilawal, commenting on the political situation in Pakistan, said that he had told “khiladi” that the situation is not a game but a matter of national security.
The PPP chairman believes that the federal government is mistreating Karachi. “I am a citizen of Karachi and the mayor of Karachi is in jail,” he said.
Commenting on the detention of Dr. Asim Hussain, Bilawal said that the former minister has been made a political prisoner. “Dr. Asim and his family have a history in Pakistan,” Bilawal said.
Earlier, Dr. Asim Hussainwas visited by Bilawal at Jinnah Hospital. He inquired about the health of the former petroleum minister.
